Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Cambridge Bagels uses cookies and similar technologies on https://cambridgebagels.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar techniques (for example sending a page-view beacon) that do not always set a cookie but still involve limited technical data.
Cookies and similar tech we use
- cb_attr (first-party, ~90 days) — stores a short attribution tag when you visit via a vanity or share link (for example /foodies). Used so signup and survey forms can record which channel referred you. Not strictly necessary for browsing; set when you hit a tagged URL.
- cb_admin_session (first-party, httpOnly) — authenticates our internal admin tools. Strictly necessary for staff access; not set for ordinary visitors.
- Visit beacon — JavaScript sends path, referrer, and attribution tag to our /api/track endpoint so we can count visits. No advertising cookies from Google, Meta, or similar are loaded today.
Consent & PECR
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, cookies that are not strictly necessary generally require consent. Our attribution cookie supports marketing measurement. If you prefer not to be attributed, avoid tagged vanity URLs or clear site cookies in your browser.
We may add a clearer on-site consent control as the shop launches. Until then, this page is the disclosure of what we set.
How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may break admin login; the public site should still largely work.
